Bundaberg Regional Council has resubmitted its proposed
planning scheme to the State for Ministerial approval to allow it to go for
public consultation. While it is difficult to judge how long the State will
take to approve the latest version, the most optimistic timeframe is for the
proposed scheme to be on display for consultation purposes for six weeks from
early September 2014.
InsiteSJC will be keen to view the latest version due to the significant influence it is likely to have on our client’s property and development interests. We believe that the Council and State are working hard to make the planning scheme more facilitative than any of the current or previous schemes for the region. This is encouraging to see as it will mean that there will probably be considerable new development opportunities for our clients in the future.
InsiteSJC will be keeping our clients fully informed and
liaising with Council representatives through the consultation process.
