The Challenge

Do you need a planning approval? This is not always the case. Council told our client that they needed an impact assessable MCU approval to upgrade an ageing car dealership. This would have taken 6 months and required referral to other State agencies. In addition, it would have attracted significant cost burden through infrastructure charges.

The Solution

Insite SJC successful negotiated an outcome with Council that the development was building work not associated with a material change of use, which was self-assessable. They were then able to start on the project straight away and saved thousands of dollars in infrastructure charges.
